Our commitment to vulnerable persons
Where filming, photography or interviews involve individuals experiencing hardship, trauma, illness, disability, family violence, housing insecurity, financial distress or other vulnerable circumstances, Fortune For Good agrees to:
- Conduct all filming and recording respectfully and sensitively;
- Avoid misleading, exploitative, humiliating or harmful representation;
- Respect cultural, personal and community considerations where reasonably practicable;
- Allow participants to decline answering questions or stop participation at any time;
- Take reasonable steps to ensure participants understand how their image, story or information may be used;
- Avoid publicly disclosing sensitive personal information without informed consent;
- Consider additional privacy protections where appropriate, including limiting identifying details or anonymising content.
Your rights as a participant
Participants may request:
- Not to have certain information recorded or published;
- Their full name withheld;
- Their image blurred or partially concealed where reasonably practicable.
Fortune For Good reserves the right to discontinue filming or publication where we believe release of content may place a participant’s safety, wellbeing, dignity or privacy at risk.
